Obituary for Robert L. Yeager

Robert L. Yeager
Yeager, Robert Lee Bob, 73, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away Thursday, Feb 16, 2017 of double-pneumonia. Taken off life-support at 4:30 pm, he died peacefully at 8:20 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, Feb 23, 2017, at Guardian Angels Church, 6539 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45230. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm at T.P. White Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington. Born April 22, 1943, a lifelong Cincinnatian, he was preceded in death by his father B. John Yeager, mother Sara Lee Yeager, and brother John S. Yeager. He is survived by son Matthew R. Yeager, wife Joanne B. Yeager, nephews Mike, Steve, and John F. Yeager, sister-in-law Cecile Yeager, and daughter-inlaw Chelsea Whitton. An alumnus of Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati, he worked in a variety of fields throughout his life. Injuries sustained as a young man on the gridiron made his life a challenging one, but he will be remembered as a loyal and generous friend, a faithful husband, and an enthusiastic and patient father. A Big Brother, he was proudly sober for the final twenty-three years of his life. A lover of sports, art, and antiques, his Christian faith was strong. He was a hard man to bring down, and as those that knew him will attest, he was an impossible man not to love.
